  • Sophie Laferriere

Sophie is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University and double majored in Psycology and Sports Industry. This cartoon would be valuable and beneficial to children in or outside the sports community. From working at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, I have seen first hand what children with mental health issues deal with on a day to day basis. This cartoon is a perfect tool to help children with the mental and emotional obstacles they may face during this crucial time of development. Children from all over the world will be able to relate to characters that are just like them and provide an outlet to be themselves and learn something along the way. Kids rely on social media so much in today’s society, future generations of youth deserve to have the proper resources to help them grow in a way that grabs their attention. Everyone, especially kids, need to know that “It’s okay to not be okay”.`
